Mauré attaches great importance to your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for the (improvement of) our services and handle the information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This Privacy Policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Mauré. This policy is effective as of 02/12/2021. With the publication of a new version, all previous versions become invalid. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect about you, for what purpose this data is used, with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties, how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have with regard to your personal data.

About Data Processing

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it, which security techniques we use and who has access to the data. We process personal data on the basis of contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests and, where required, your consent.

Our online shop is developed using Shopify software. Personal data that you provide to us as part of our services is shared with this provider. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with technical support. They will never use your data for any other purpose. Shopify is obliged to take appropriate security measures in accordance with the agreement we have concluded with them. These measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strict password policy. Shopify is a certified processor of credit card data. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information about your use of the software. No personal data is collected and/or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own group in order to further improve the service. Shopify observes the applicable statutory retention periods. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies; your data may be processed in the United States.

Web Hosting

We use the web hosting and email services of MijnDomein. MijnDomein processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this provider may collect metadata about the use of the services, which does not contain personal data. MijnDomein has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorised use of your personal data. MijnDomein is contractually bound to confidentiality.

Email and Mailing Lists

For our regular business email traffic we use the services of MijnDomein and Shopify. These providers have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. They do not have access to our mailbox and we treat our email traffic confidentially. We do not send marketing emails without your consent. Every marketing email we send contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message

Shipping and Logistics

We ship all parcels from our own warehouse. We use DHL and PostNL. For UK shipments, we use DHL Express.

To ship your UK order, we use Sendcloud to create shipping labels and manage shipments. For this purpose, we share your name, address, place of residence and email address with Sendcloud Fulfillment. DHL, PostNL and other carriers use this information solely for the purpose of executing deliveries, returns and shipment updates.

Purpose of Data Processing

We use your data exclusively for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you give us. We do not use your data for targeted marketing without your explicit consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to meet accounting or other administrative obligations. These third parties are contractually or legally bound to confidentiality.

Automatically Collected Data

Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed to further improve our services. This data (such as your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not considered personal data.

Cooperation with Tax and Criminal Investigations

In certain cases, Mauré may be legally obliged to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by government authorities. In such cases, we are forced to provide your data, but we will resist this as far as legally possible.

Retention Periods

We store your data for as long as you are our customer. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. Due to administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data for the applicable statutory period. After that, employees will no longer have access to your customer profile or documents created for your order.

Your Rights

Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, you have certain rights regarding your personal data. To prevent misuse, we only send copies of your data to your known email address unless you identify yourself otherwise. You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if you believe we process your data unlawfully.

You have the right to have your data transferred to another provider. Upon request, we will provide your data in a machine-readable format within 30 days.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain cases. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects for you.

Cookies and Third-Party Cookies

We use cookies from third parties such as Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and Google to provide relevant content and measure performance. These cookies may collect data such as interactions with our website (e.g. adding to cart, checkout, viewing content, etc.). Each provider applies its own privacy policy.

Wishlist

The wishlist functionality is provided by a third party (Arena Commerce). They place cookies to store your wishlist and may collect technical data such as IP address, device and browser. Data may be processed in the USA. Their privacy policy applies.

“Back in Stock” Button

The “Back in Stock” functionality is provided by SealApps. They store your name and email address to notify you when a product becomes available again. This data is not shared with third parties and may be processed in the USA.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page. If changes affect how we process your data, we will inform you by email.
